Description

  • The livelihoods of rural women working as daily wage labourers, vegetable sellers, cultivators, domestic workers, etc. are under threat. Specifically, the condition of single, deserted and widowed women is extremely precarious.
  • In a forest of Kasdol block, Baloda Bazar district in Chhattisgarh, there are communities(who belong to certain tribes) that make their living by making bamboo utensils, which they are unable to sell due to the pandemic.
  • We plan to distribute kits would be containing essential supplies such as **rations, sanitary napkins, pulses/cereals, vegetables along with basic medical supplies such as oximeters (per cluster in each village), paracetamol, thermometers, etc. **
  • We are estimating the price to be around Rs. 1200 per person. We are hoping to reach out to 200 women farmers.
